Idiot. The UK has no right to block a tanker to Syria. The only EU sanctions that ever existed were on airplane fuel and to Banias. It was a provocation and an act of piracy plain and simple.

The next Hearing will be Friday as that is when the current Detention Order expires. Although Zarif will likely take FM Hunt's offer before then. It would be bad for Iran to fail to settle, as the next step may be a Forfeiture Action against the $170 million ship & cargo.
Brits have no right, legally or otherwise, to dictate destination of Iranian cargo, nor to deprive Syria of oil. Brits have been supporting al Qaeda & other terrorist groups vs legitimate govt of Syria for almost a decade--talk of legality is out of place here.

As we have been discussing, whether or not UK has the right to detain the Grace 1 is a Legal Dispute that will be decided in the UK Courts, which have been deciding trade issues for hundreds of years. Probably a bad idea for Iran as a party to litigation to be making threats.

One of Iran's big complaints before Trump pulled out of JCPOA is that there was not the enough expected Foreign Investment in Iran that Iran had hoped for. It will take $$$ hundreds of billions perhaps $$$ trillions to improve Iran economy, but Iran has to obey the rules.
