And they are not common. People circumcise babies here 24/7 and, done properly, they’re fine. If that was common, there’d be more men walking around without a penis.

Once is too many times. Especially for a procedure that is completely unnecessary.

Truth be told, I have as low of an opinion of people who circumcise babies as I do of people who molest children, and I do not say that lightly.

I’d rather circumcise my child than have them live in pain or have gangrene or a severe infection that can kill them.

That's a false pretense, given that the latter isn't going to happen, but 100 boys a year die from complications of their circumcision.https://www.academia.edu/6394940/Lost_Boys_An_Estimate_of_U.S._Circumcision-Related_Infant_Deaths?source=swp_ …

So you're talking about putting your child through significant, unnecessary pain and suffering (and creating a wound where it's going to get exposed to urine & feces) for nothing, at great risk to the child's physical and mental health, because you're dedicated to the procedure.

They’re babies, they won’t remember it. Howvwe, they’ll definitely remember if they have to have their penis amputated when they’re older b/c I chose to not circumcise them. How about you stop spreading misinformation and let people see for themselves?

As I’ve said babies don’t remember. Long term memory doesn’t kick in until a later age.

This is an outdated myth from the previous century, e.g.: "Preliminary studies suggested that pain experienced by infants in the neonatal period may have long-lasting effects on future infant behaviour" http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/9057731
