we can hope a revival of CHP will mean a turn away from Neo-Ottomanism and jihadist adventurism in Syria. will the Istanbul election affect Erdogan's foreign policy?

I don't know whether he's going to modify his foreign policy. He may adopt, however, a more conciliatory approach toward the Kurds in Turkey, although a return to the peace process of 2013-15 is in my opinion unlikely.
