The age of speciation of Homo Sapiens out of ancestral Homo Erectus (or an intermediate species such as Homo antecessor) is estimated to have been roughly 350,000 years ago.pic.twitter.com/HYrot7heCp

Speciation is the evolutionary process by which populations evolve to become distinct species.

'The return of all that prehistoric carbon − preserved in fossil fuels − back into the atmosphere would mean that, by 2250, CO2 levels would reach 2,000 ppm. This has not been seen for 200 million yearshttps://climatenewsnetwork.net/co2-levels-days-dinosaurs/ …

Fossil fuels used today formed around 370 million years ago, when CO2 concentrations were roughly 5 times higher than today, burning them releases the CO2 back in the atmosphere, inevitably leading to a similar climate to that period, although the Sun is now brighter so hotter

So although climate cycles are inevitable and not primarily due to CO2, (primarily due to solar & volcano activity instead) releasing all the sequestered CO2 from fossils dating back to 370 million years when atmospheric carbon concentrations where much higher is not a good idea.

However, and here I differ from climate groupthink, I do not believe current renewable energy technologies are the solution to our environmental problems, they will fix one (CO2) & create many more that we will then need to fix too.

Therefore, until we identify really environmentally friendly energy technologies, we might as well: 1 Save all our forests - this is really more urgent & realistic than anything else 2 Expose consumerism's negative effects on energy use & the environment
