i didn't have questions. as this was less a 'story' and more an academic narrative analysis. but continue to welcome critique, feedback, responses, etc. if forthcoming

But you had "questions" for alleged "independent journalists" embedded with sectarian, extremist armed groups who carried out mass atrocities against Syrian civilians in occupied East

She doesn’t like that I actually met the people you did a report about in Aleppo instead of accusing them of stealing organs without evidence like a good journalist would

When she says “extremists” she’s not being serious, she means the White Helmets. I’ve spoken to a wide variety of people as well, from extremists that I interviewed in Kilis to Atheists that I interviewed in Aleppo. I’ve even been in areas that r still held by the Syrian regime.

I’ve also spoken w weapons dealers, pharmacists, aide workers, smugglers, civilians who r stuck in camps, I’ve spoken w fighters on the frontlines who were moderate + fighters who were extremist. I’ve taken taxis in Aleppo + ridden in rebel vehicles, seen pro + anti-Nusra rallies

If I hadn’t been to Aleppo she would accuse me of not knowing what was going on in the city. Because I have been there she says I was embedded w extremists. I certainly have encountered extremists as I have encountered Christian SDF fighters + regime soldiers in Syria.

So her implication is that the most extremist elements of the opposition controlled what I saw. This is BS as I was able to move around the city w civilians who absolutely hated Assad + Nusra. Here’s r clip of me walking on the street w just civilianshttps://youtu.be/Br-mBY8ZEbA

Nafeez Ahmad now boosting Hillsman of @vicenews who claims that the "civilians" who escorted him in Aleppo hated al Nusra as much as they hated Assad
