There's a difference between being right and being smart. Climate might rank 7th, but it's both the most all-encompassing and lethal of the threats we face and the one that most clearly illustrates the systemic nature of the problem with capitalism and our model of consumption

Or maybe it's simply the one one corporate backed protests are being directed to in order to propose false solutions to profit financially from (carbon capture & storage, carbon offsetting & accounting, directing public money to privately owned renewable energy, mineral mining)

I am not proposing that. I am critical on the official XR's blind faith in the words "net zero". Hang on. I didn't start this thread. I was criticised for an article that stated protest is our only tool and that we need to nurture it, be aware of cooption dangers, learn from our mistakes, refine our goals. If you'd all like to focus on that argument, we can stop wasting time
