If the prison represents the Earth, what in this analogy does 'escaping' or 'destroying' the prison mean? And if the prison doesn't represent the Earth, what is the relevance of your analogy?

It represents the system, aka the world. Not the earth.

Ok, so how are you going to 'escape' or 'destroy' the system without first protesting against it and raising popular consciousness. You and whose army is going to take on the military might of a western elite determined to defend its financial empire?

It may well do if it can make money from them, and we don't manage to turn popular consciousness to our side. But that's the point of protest - to awaken and mobilise others, and to test and refine our own understanding of the obstacles we face. This really should be self-evident

There's a difference between being right and being smart. Climate might rank 7th, but it's both the most all-encompassing and lethal of the threats we face and the one that most clearly illustrates the systemic nature of the problem with capitalism and our model of consumption
