Intactivists (those against infant circumcision) are fortunate to have so many compassionate women, including mothers and expecting mothers, on their side as allies. Never underestimate the empathy of women. They can literally change the world.

My ex husband wanted our son cut. To match him. No movement existed 19 years ago I was aware of but my gut said “why” hurt my baby boy needlessly. Told husband if he really really wanted the circumcision he’d have to orchestrate it. Fortunately he was/is chronically disorganized.

chronically disorganized sounds like ADHD--which is much more common in boys than girls in USA, corresponding to practice of MGM (cf. higher rate of SIDS for boys in USA) "matching him" is father's way of not facing what happened to himhttps://twitter.com/Cukullen/status/1045758659303804928 …

this book argued that ADHD originates in early childhood trauma--a view that has been supported by more recent researchhttps://drgabormate.com/book/scattered-minds/ …
