As a ((((jew))), gonna disagree here. Does not disturb function, reduces STD (and associated partner cancer) risk, minimal medical risk. Had a Boston urologist trained as mohel.

Where is the outrage over childhood ear piercing? Why is aesthetic maxillofacial surgery or even mild cleft palate correction not subject to the same second guessing? Hint: It is exactly because it is a Jewish religious custom.

“Similarly with regard to circumcision, one of the reasons for it is, in my opinion, the wish to bring about a decrease in sexual intercourse and a weakening of the organ in question” Moses Maimonides, Guide for the Perplexed , 12th century CE I'm Jewish & detest being cut.
