This circumcision documentary on Netflix got me wondering if I’ll circumcise my future son. At this point it’s so normalized I don’t want my son feeling insecure about not being circumcised but damn....the fact that we’re just finding out how unnecessary it is is wild

"almost exclusively Islamic." huh? newborn circumcision is exclusively jewish (& USA); as barbaric as Islamic circumcision is, it's not so barbaric as the newborn version

Infant circumcision yes, but circumcision in general is globally 70% Islamic. Also honestly there's different issues with circumcision at birth and at 7 years old, neither one is properly consenting, but the 7 year old will remember. And yes I know that doesn't excuse infant >>

I don't really want to argue it, but I will disagree on that, you're referring to the neruological changes that are a response to high pain and stress, which honestly is more connected to the general lack of anaestitic than the operative trauma. Infant circumcision does not >>

2> cause PTSD however, only childhood circumcision causes that so again, hard to say which is actually worse.
