Your second sentence is almost a definition of loss of focus. Trans children present a problem of the appropriate age of consent for a variety of interventions, not helped by the people who deny the existence of transsexuality.
mother with clear mental health problems (article above) given the right to change the gender of her 6 year old child, involving what you euphemistically call "a variety of interventions." let people above 18 do what they want. adults need to leave children's genitals alone.

I don't know what SOTT is, but it seems to have an agenda, and the paediatrician admits they're working off newspaper reports. Could be just a transphobic father. Not going to broaden my definition of Intactivism for this.
