I mostly agree, but where do you draw the line? Earrings? Piercings? Tattoos? Although it's a can of worms that needs opening, it's still a can of worms.

I love opening cans of worms. No procedure should be performed on a child that permanently alters his or her body except for that which is medically indicated. Consent matters and children cannot consent to a matter such as this.

Why do you think circumcision is not medically indicated? The American Urological Association & other major medical communities say medical benefits outweigh the risks, and advocate for availability and insurance coverage.

Interesting. This article makes the extraordinary claim that simply weighing health benefits vs risks is inadequate in this context (whereas with all other medical decisions, that’s the gold standard). The reduced incidence of penile cancer isn’t addressed.
