      I know a lady who took her 7 year old to a pediatrician and the doctor told her in front of the boy that he'd have to be cut, in detail. He cried and had nightmares about losing his genitals. No, that's definitely worth trying the alternatives.

      I read about a boy who was circumcised as a baby yet has nightmares of a dragon biting his genitals. To find if that's related, the mother shown him multiple photos of people and asked 'is this the dragon?' he said no to each one until she shown the doctor's picture.
