That's 100% incorrect, but thanks for misrepresenting basically everything about what is public about this.

i only know what i read on your blog & in WaPo. You went to FBI to denounce Trump admin contact w. Assad govt on Syria because you felt this was harmful to USA. What any decent president would have wanted--to end NATO war on Syria--you regarded as a threat to national security.

If you "only know what" you "read on" emptywheel's "blog," why didn't you comment at the time? Have you ever commented at the "blog?" If so, what's your handle? Do you want Assad to remain in control of Syria? If not, who?

yes, i am opposed to the NATO/Israel/Gulf sponsored war on Syria since 2011. Syrian govt is business of Syrian people, who overwhelmingly support current govt. stopped reading MW's blog years ago, attention brought to this by puff piece in WaPo (not a boost to her credibility)

Are you also pro-Trump? Are you also thrilled that RU helped him win?

why are you reflexively siding with a cabal of imperialists in a ginned up, multi-billion dollar CIA-instigated civil war against a democratically elected gov't? Hundreds of thousands of people are already dead and you went running to the FBI because you thought it might stop?

Why are you "reflexively siding" against the one person with the guts in 2009 to call out the main stream media for referring to CIA torture as "enhanced interrogation?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTZ3UCrl4Jo&t=6s … emptywheel was blacklisted from cable until an appearance this month.

not attacking her personally. fyi many CIA-friendly figures have taken apparently brave stands all the better to serve power; this is how one buys credibility, what Chomsky (who knows) calls manufacturing consent: Ellsberg, Hersh, Greenwald, Juan Cole, Scahill & Intercept etc.

understand but relativizing doesn't make me feel any better.
