      I'm genuinely not trying to be contrarian but people are getting a little carried away re. Bourdain's politics. He was decent on some issues (e.g. Palestine, and Henry Kissinger most memorably) but he openly spread propaganda on a host of others, notably Syria & Libya.

      No one in MSM possesses perfect acumen on all issues & I could easily pick apart Bourdain episodes (like his Beirut show), but I chose to focus on some positive aspects that are worth highlighting. We are all imperfect, but I respect anyone who can put in on the line like that.

      And bear in mind, anyone producing content for CNN will be operating in a deep state ecosystem of US-centric geopolitical narratives and media manipulation. That said, it was the only program on CNN worth watching.

      BTW - I have been a dedicated #CNN basher for many years now, published many a scathing critque, thrashed them in hours of radio and TV interviews. They deserve it. But to go and write long diatribes crushing a person the day after they die, as I see some have done...

      Where were the criticisms of his trashing col Gadfafi , Chavez, Assad Putin ? It was there online . But now is the time to take stock and stop being mesmerised by television.
