Is it mutually exclusive to have gangs and high COL? The video shows evidence of roaming thieves.

Anecdotes are not evidence to base our world views off of. "Poverty is the parent of revolution and crime." Start with the system that causes people to steal, not the people stealing from the system.

Look, nobody is saying poverty isn't a problem. It is possible for poverty to be a problem AND say that we shouldn't allow people to openly steal. No system will ever stop 100% of crime. You need to attack the problem from both sides.

How will capitalism attack the problem of poverty, when capitalism requires poverty to exist? Saying, "you need to attack the problem from both sides," but in a capitalist system, means only punishing the already impoverished.

Capitalism doesn't require poverty. Not sure where you got that idea. Afaik poverty exists in all societies. And I don't mean only punishing the poor. That's purposely misinterpreting. My family came from a commie country, even the poor here live well comparatively.

In the country your family is from, is there a centralized state and/or privatized industry?

The country is no longer communist/socialist, it was a satellite of the USSR. Poland's Solidarity Mvmt was one of the internal locus for the fall of the Soviet Union. There was a one party state. Now it is similar to other western countries, albeit more conservative.

Poland never abolished their centralized state and all private ownership while meeting people's basic needs w/o labor requirements (communism). Poland's proletariat representatives never abolished privatized industry & guaranteed basic needs for laborers (socialism).
