What’s actually even more terrifying is that it’s a clear consequence of a culture that tells men that their achievements will be rewarded in women’s bodies, that it obtaining women’s bodies is actually a proof of success and masculinity.

And that women should not refuse access to their bodies to men (except when already owned by a man). Threats, verbal and physical violence and deaths of women who said no is a daily reminder that owning our bodies comes at a high cost.

Women do not owe men their bodies, their emotions, their smile, their attention, just like men do not owe them to women. We are neither prizes nor due to you. Is it so hard to understand?
