@TeamYouTube The YT app defaults to playing 1080p videos (setting: Auto) on my Samsung Galaxy S9 (Android 9/app up-to-date) - the video quality is 4k and I can switch to 1440p manually and 1440p playback is flawless (not a bandwidth issue). How can I default YT app to 1440p?
Yeah but what kind of an internet do I need then? Again, the 1440p video (and even 4K on my TV on the same network) loads without ever buffering even for a second, so I don't understand why it defaults to a lower resolution on my phone.
