he's talking about CME/CBOE futures ... we dont care about those. Okex and Bitmex is what we look at.
-
add to that, futures always affect spot as they are used as a hedge ... no idea where that guy came from.
-
I think his point was most of the affects on spot markets are caused by retards willing things into existence and selling before an expiry date that's actually arbitrary, because the total contract volume is a fraction of a % of btc volume
-
okex alone did 270k
$BTC 24hr vol ... i dont think thats a fraction -
whats bitmex?

could u explain please?

Someone put a huge order in on futures. Which means it's a bet, he can't touch until it's over. Everyone is speculating on server he is going long or short.
-
Order pro or con BTC?to go lower?
-
I don't know how long futures are, 1 week, 2 weeks, a month??? But it's basically a long or short, that you can't cash out or stop, and only seems when time frame is up. We don't know....it's risky either way, charts are muddied
-
not completly true, you're free to sell your contract any time you wish. Only UPL is locked until settlement
-
Ok, wasn't sure about that. I tried to ask my "trader" uncle about futures and he had no clue. I'm still learning too! I didn't know you could pull trade whenever. Thanks!
