Who says it is liquidation and not closing a position?

Stupid question when the contract ends assume the price has to below the 8702 if not they lose a chunk of change ?
doesnt matter where it settles ... he's out of the market.
Jesus so once over target it’s game over... money gone and time to cry
1/ For those confused by the numbers, the whale opened 926,000 contracts of $100 each, for a total of $92,600,000. The maximum leverage he could have used was 20x. That would mean a margin of $4,630,000. Depending on the liquidation price he could have lost most of this.
2/ I would guess it's unlikely that such a large position would use 20x leverage, in which case, if this was a liquidation he could have lost a lot more.
Margin trading sounds fun
is this a pay in or what happend ?
