$crypto If you dont use stoploss, you cant calc. Risk/Reward ratio which means there is no Risk Management.

Using your position size as stoploss makes you miss out on potential bigger profit.

Double your position size but set stoploss at 50% ... puts you in the same risk but reward is 2x.

BTW ... stoploss doesnt only mean taking a loss. Its often also used to protect you "unrealized" profit.

This is not a call just example. My R/R is 4x so its worth to take the trade. I can adjust my entry size accordingly. If i get stopped out i know my TA was wrong yet risk is at minimum.pic.twitter.com/Wko6uiSYOf

Did you consider this a bad entry? Did you move your SL or get stopped out?

Setting up 4x R/R with a stop loss and limit sell works great for bitcoin. But what about lower volume altcoins with thin order books?

& don't forget the vital info for new traders = closer to support = less risk = more shares = more potential profit.

When you say closer to support do you mean setting stops closer to support or targets?

Market makers love stop loss orders. They flee to them like flys on chit. I refuse to use stop loss orders unless I have to.
