Don’t you think that grinding to 100k subscribers and acquiring the verification badge means the channel is official? Why change something if it’s not broken? I never saw an issue with this ever, nor heard of it as an issue from anyone else. This was a healthy right of passage.

They're basically saying, "Seems too easy to get verified so we're just gonna take everyone's badge away and MANUALLY decide who gets it" ? They should at the very least let people who are already verified keep their badge. >_> That's almost like taking away peoples' plaques..

Or, better yet, create a new form of verification for this new level of prestige. The current verification badge isn’t particularly vibrant. It’s literally grey. Make the other ones coloured or something. Taking away someone’s badge after years of grinding is a foolish move.
