CrossFit is a diverse community in every way, and that’s what makes us strong. No matter who you are, how you’re built, what you believe, or who or how you love—we are proud of you.

I’ll never go to a
#CrossFit gym or spend any money with your company. How dare you all try to dictate which opinions are “correct”. -
Oh, look, his little flag is soooo cute!

Really, thanks captain obvious. No one ever thought HIS statements reflected the views of CF. That’s why they are HIS statements.
-
He tagged his company. Has the name of company in bio. Also user hash tag. So yeah it's kinda his professional views
-
Well Ravi, his first tweet starts "as someone who PERSONALLY believes..."
-
I know. But he even had name of company in his bio.
-
Completely irrelevant. People have their company names in bio all the time. That doesn’t mean it reflects the companies views. Unless a person says they are representing their company views(which he clearly didn’t), bio info is irrelevant.

As a gay man and a gay affiliate owner, I applaud your swift response to this unfortunate series of events. Let this be a learning moment for
@BergerRussell. I’m sure he will have plenty of time to reflect -
He already has a job

@CrossFit this is very disappointing.@BergerRussell expressed his personal religious beliefs on his personal account. This reaction is what true#intolerance looks like. -
No, Adam. Via Twitter feed that touted prof ‘Chief Knowledge Officer’ for
#Crossfit status, speaking to brand, challenging its core brand story, and attaching/aligning (whether he knew or not) his personal values to their brand name/values. Inappropriate.https://twitter.com/jamesjetsoften/status/1004727324867059713?s=21 … -
TY4 your story
@lindseybever@washingtonpost. Mr. Berger owned dragging#Crossfit into his personal stance on#LGBTQ people, in complete opposition to its#brandethos. Mr. Berger is free to be whomever he'd like to be on his time, not company time.https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/acts-of-faith/wp/2018/06/07/a-crossfit-exec-thanked-gym-for-refusing-to-celebrate-sin-during-pride-week-hes-been-fired/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.4de067eda498 … -
I would argue that he was defending their
#brandethos by supporting a decision to not support a clearly segregating and exclusionary event at a@Crossfit box. So he does have a claim for inappropriate dismissal.

a. pride is literally a sin b. you fired him and proved him correct c. please keep doing this. please keep pushing and creating a situation wherein to be employed you must celebrate men who think they can become women. you have no idea what youre doingpic.twitter.com/klQ1mlFTtu

And Muslims think celebrating Christmas is a huge sin punishable by death. But you know what, Muslim CF employees are not publicly posting that because they respect others.
-
Muslims are sneakier than Christians, just biding their time...

Wow. Fired for what you believe. Is this happening in a country with freedom of speech?
