.@ParasiteMovie was the last movie I saw in a theater right before the pandemic hit
#Parasite
This is one amazing film! One of the very few films I can’t adequately describe. Particularly when asked what genre it is. It’s just genius.
One mechanism: repeated self sabotage through immoral decisions despite being given every opportunity to succeed
This movie starts from the bottom and works its way to the top. It takes place in both rich and poor households, depicting the difference between the two. The overall mood is suspense and thrilling as it escalates to the climatic events.
The dialogue exchange is clear and unrelenting when the actors exert characterization. Moreover, it tackles the presence of social inequality, widening the gap between the rich and poor. It is a timely issue, stringed with dark humor and barely fits in one genre.
It tapped the pathos of the viewed about the society on the ledge of social collapse. It is truly exceptional for its ingenuity, character formation and representation of social issues in the modern world.
