I've been reading a string of dense non-fiction books and need the literary equivalent of cotton candy to reset my brain. Any recommendations for a big dumb fun space opera type book?
Have you read The Martian Chronicles? I don’t know if it’s “big and dumb,” but since the tropes are a bit dated, I found it a very easy read while still just dripping with that lush Bradbury verbiage.

I have not but the fact it's Bradbury kind of rules it out for my purposes. I'm looking for like 8th grade reading level and happy ending.
