Internet update: Poor signal on my line is caused by ingress. Because of that, my levels are off - my current T3 reading is 14. My modem has reset itself multiple times due to this, and is likely running very hot due to overwork. Renting an office for a few weeks. TBD

The stupidest part is that they can see the ingress easily on their metrics, and check the signal levels remotely as well. Cox is a nightmare of a company
They suspect the problem is in my walls somewhere, which they can't inspect due to COVID. I have a decent price on an office space here in town that I may take.

In my experience it was almost always someone else's equipment in the building. Cabling doesn't go bad nearly at the rate of equipment in people's homes get busted or grossified.
