Starcraft nerds: does SC2 put a significant strain/traffic through my modem? ISP suspects that the combination of streaming and SC2 may be causing my modem to reach its lava-like temperatures.

Oh didn't realize the issue was modem overheating. If you have cable just buy your own if you have fiber you don't actually need the "modem" they rent you it's just a router you can just buy your own modem rentals are a ripoff

Oh there was a cheese where the AC died in the summer I found a tiny box fan and sat the router on top of it kept it cool enough to keep working. Could help if you can find something
