This has just been the most frustrating day. So sorry to everyone who tuned in to the stream this afternoon. ISP issues continue to plague me, and I'll never be a premier content creator while that's the case. Will turn my attitude around for next week and hit things hard again.

Have you considered a business line? They cost more for the same speed but you get a carrier grade signal and the SLA is generally 99.95% speed you pay for. Consumer SLAs are usually "best effort".

Once I'm making enough money on Twitch to pay my rent and stuff, that's something I could consider. I'll call my ISP to ask about options. Thank you.

Streaming is more about reliability so idk if you’re paying for a 100 up or whatever but a consistent 10-15 up line is better than a 1000up inconsistent line for streaming.

Is a 30/10 package inherently more stable than a 100/35? Those are the only two non-commercial options available from my monopolistic provider.

Bandwidth does not inherently translate to stability. You could have a rock solid 30/10 or a super crappy 100/35 or vice versa. What matters is the underlying technology (xDSL, fiber etc.). As I suggested: Get both and a device that tests each and uses the best one. Or both. :)

So if I have no choice of ISP, and the infrastructure to my apartment will not be upgraded, then I’m just boned?

Nope! Underlying tech does not matter. ISPs use a bunch of traffic shaping techniques to ensure their most important customers get taken care of first. If bandwidth demand in an area exceeds capacity they drop consumer packets to preserve integrity for enterprise\business plans

Noted. I'll call my ISP on Monday and see what they can do for me. Thank you for the wisdom!
