Do you have TOPIK?
I do not. I have finished KIIP 1, but need KIIP 4 to qualify on points for an F-series visa. Me dumb. Korean hard. :)

Why not study Korean to get TOPIK 3 and teach for spending money in the meantime? You can get a really good job here with TOPIK 3 and a degree.

That's a definite possibility if I'm unable to make something more traditional work. As far as I can tell, the job market for foreigners in my field is still nowhere near as lucrative as in the states, even with passable language skills.
