I was told many years ago by a Scottish colleague, every Scot supports two teams, first team is Scotland, and the second team, any team that plays England.

Imo many unionists (not britnats) tend to view the U.K. as a sort of mini EU with open borders, a common currency, ability to move to get jobs/uni etc. They gloss over this coming with the price tag of England overruling us on key things BUT I think that’s how they think
