So sorry Vivienne has left us. A genius, a fighter and a real rock of support for Julian, and for me. The BBC obituary of course featured her wedding dress for Sex in the City, not for Stella Assange. The real Vivienne Westwood was never "safe" and never tamed. Real freedom.

I put in my life savings in July so the festival could happen. We all feel terrible some people remain unpaid - but unless we run it again, profitably, they will never get paid. So it is going ahead with a Phoenix. Any profits will go to those owed. There is no other money.

I have never taken one single penny from Doune the Rabbit Hole, no dividend, no salary, no anything. I help purely for love of it. Last year's festival went bust because we could not sell enough tickets to carry the costs of two covid cancellations.
