That's a false equivalence. How does greening = climate change is a hoax? Also, don't forget that the oceans are responsible for storing most emitted CO2 not land-based plants. Also, your linked article doesn't even suggest that greening is preventing climate change.

They have literally regrown because deforestation has occurred and people have called for more protection regarding forests, resulting in the replanting of said forests. Deforestation happens and has happened, it isn't hard to realise.
