Dont have any issue with this as long as money spent doesn’t end up being spent on kit that ends up going overseas anyway because it still wasn’t enough to get below 0. ie Gillard govt Toyota factory retooling. I expect $750m will be just a drop in the ocean.

Because it is not . We will have a reverse Texas in the future, 100’s die in heat wave as grid fails.

Doubt it. Demand response standby gas, rooftop solar and batteries will reduce that risk to acceptable levels. Coal or nuclear are just not economic in such a scenario. If they were, the market would find a way to get it done

They contract with generators to supply that amount of renewable electricity. Underpins the investment for the generators. What’s hard about that?
