They described exactly why you don’t live in a free market, hence proving you further wrong, and that’s just the federal government example. There’s numerous examples of local gov’s playing favorites and giving breaks and incentives to Amazon and other big corps.

Innovative companies have to navigate a complex legal landscape to even hit the “free market” - a landscape dominated and maintained by the large competitors they’re trying to innovate against. Your “free market”, with corrupt patents, is a barrier to innovation if anything.
