In America they collect them I belive to do some kind of sueing. I heard it can make it hard for officers to say move house or get a loan as a result in the short term. If I'm right it's terrible, just hope in this country that kindof thing isn't possible.

Let them have their harmless hobbies, it might keep them out of mischief. When I was a kid, there was a lad on my street who collected the registration numbers of cars he saw. Slightly odd, but didn't do any harm.
