I've yet to block anyone (except ads and spam), but I've been blocked by what feels like half of blue checkmark twitter. My experience, trolls are easy to handle. Ignore or play with. Blocking invites trolls; shows weakness. Numerous trolls ended up blocking me after some bantz. https://twitter.com/politicalmath/status/939762268564103168 …

There is definitely a bubble. From my experience, it's not insults or base trolling that gets you blocked. Blue checks will occasionally even engage and insult back It's asking a question they can't answer or pointing out a logical error thay gets blocks https://twitter.com/politicalmath/status/939762668671451136 …

This behaviour's not limited to the left though. Blue checkmark "conservatives" block liberally as well. I'm blocked by pretty much all the NRO staff. It's a class thing, rather than an ideological thing. The twitter elites don't like the hoi polloi questioning them.

Replying to @FreeNortherner
It's self-image - insults and stupidity from the other side they like or don't mind. When someone devastates their argument by exposing and disagreeing with the premises that you MUST hold to be accepted by the bluechecks their heads explode.

For example this was the tweet that got Noah to block me: https://twitter.com/CovfefeAnon/status/936399330914787328 … Totally calm and inviting counterargument.
