Worthless. Linking to 10k words of a man who would never allow himself to see the reason for any question he's supposedly investigating and would lie about it and try to cover it up if he did. Anyone who writes this is stupid - either naturally or by choice.pic.twitter.com/uZhqnDBjYX

Scott is a true believer in the system and his brand of “rationalism” an attempt to reconcile its failures. He has no interest in doing different things, just doing the same things differently. When it comes to art he’s a philistine - he knows what good is and chooses bad.

>Scott is a true believer in the system and ... attempt[s] to reconcile its failures Which makes his writing worthless - if he accidentally figures out one of the reasons for failure (which are all downstream of progressivism) he'd lie about it or not mention it.

It turns reading him into an exercise to spot where he noticed something and is trying to cover it up. It's like watching a magician and trying to spot when he's palming a card. Fine amusement sometimes but tiresome and not worth engaging with intellectually.

Scott discussing permanence when he's one of those Chinese girders made of foam spraypainted grey (I believe he'd call this "steelmatting")

But surely the fact that he discusses *many* possible (inside the Overton window) explanations for something using many words and exhaustive examples makes up for the arguments he refuses to notice or consider.
