Until about 70 years ago the death penalty dealt with a lot of problems we're complaining about here 50 years ago, the Church had some social control over the rest and populations were genetically homogeneous Put that back and place and social safety net is easy to support

Well yeah, social control and executions kept culling the genes that make the perfect progressive client so they had to be ended.
