Serious question: Nancy has been in Congress since 1987 and besides their famous public market trades, the only investment they’ve made which I could find was the Sacremento Mountain Lions, a defunct USFL team. How’d they get to over $100 million in wealth? 2/2

Pelosi owns a stake in the CordeValle Golf Club in SF And 34 years of compound interest is a piece in the puzzle

If you want to assume that she made 10% per year over 35 years and that she had $4 million in 1987 and that the failed $12 million investment in the USFL didn’t matter and that she did all of this after taxes, then yes it is possible for her to be worth $120 million.

Just off the tip of my head I thought Nancy came from money? If you start off with a $10mm trust fund 100m is easy

She "came from money" in that her father was in the same business - long time congressman (from Maryland) and Baltimore mayor. This is a "the turtle sits on the back of another turtle" answer
