News about US soldiers in Taiwan is not surprising and completely aligned with my cold war 2 theme Much was said about submarines to Australia What is more interesting is how much Japan has secretly militarized Probably a lot

Japan is the big power most threatened by China because of what it did last century If Taiwan falls, Japan is next Japan's southern territories stretch almost to Taiwan They also serve as a northern Pacific naval blockade of China

Japan by nature is a sneaky secretive entity Remember when the recent PM was caught going to the Shinto shrine paying respect to the WW2 commanders who attacked all of Asia? This is how Japan is They keep a pacifist facade but they are nationalist to the bone

You can be certain that if China attacks Taiwan, Japan will go to war HARD They will release all kinds of unseen weapons And they would be willing to use nukes It's a matter of life or death for them

And overtly I am very certain that a deal between the USA and Japan will be made to sell weapons Soon after Japan will officially change its pacifist stance and start using collectivism and militarism again It will be a sight to behold

Yes, China is rising, but it is nowhere near powerful enough to take on the US alliance and break through the Pacific blockade India is involved too with a billion people and a navy The British navy will be there too and yes even the French will come

NOBODY will go to war for China Not Russia, not North Korea This is because nobody has anything to gain from China's rise Having 1.5 billion people and rising rapidly is actually a curse for diplomacy

      Replying to @napoleon21st

Maybe not a lot to gain by the rise of China but a lot of countries have *a lot* to gain from the fall of the US - in fact, it's essential for national survival of a lot of countries because you are an enemy of USG if you allow any non-USG pet group to marry and have children
