How did the ancient Greeks avoid fistfights over philosophical disagreements, such as Zeno’s paradoxes? The Greeks seemed to admire or at least tolerate Zeno, while other cultures might have punched him in the nose. Maybe related to the Greek Olympic sporting tradition?

Well, to punch Zeno in the nose your fist has to travel half the distance to his nose first but to travel that far it has to travel half the distance to that point and so on ad infinitum. Maybe they would have punched him in the nose if movement was possible.

The implication is that punching Zeno in the nose is a philosophical argument.
