Having the CDC Director override the advice of the ACIP is not a good development. It is exactly what I told people *wouldn't* happen under Trump b/c we have strong institutions that the president couldn't overrule. I guess I was wrong about trusting our institutions.

No, that implies this is unsolvable and this government is basically as good as any other. Power doesn't corrupt, it attracts those who have no goal but power - healthy systems have safeguards against that; liberalism happily accepts the power hungry and calls it "meritocracy"
