One can conceive of it as a kamikaze tactic; the woke weaponize corporations against the populace and once the corporation has exhausted its usefulness and goes broke, they ram its smoking husk into the body politic and move on to the next organization which they can corrupt

Exactly this. The progressive egregore is strong enough now that it doesn't have to worry about preserving the companies it takes over via its agents. They used to have to worry about keeping the sinecures going - now they're powerful enough that no host can eject them.
