It is. It's also damaging to men, in a myriad of ways.

Until the internet, many things were understood through informal and often metaphorical or narrative explanations. Being a cad was never considered beneficial in any way.

Before *complete* female sexual liberation - which is less than maybe 30 or so years old - a man couldn't *be* a cad without damaging relatively innocent girls.

Burned out husks of women don't really teach a man how to build a healthy relationship with a healthy woman.

They teach you what women are primally drawn to and what feral women respond to In the past society helped in the task of keeping women non-feral and well behaved - now? Either find an alternative society or learn skills formerly reserved for pimps The former is harder for most

Nah. I know plenty of people in healthy relationships, and none of them are wearing striped suits and feathered hats.

That's reading the surface. The "feathered hats" (taking that phrase as a synecdoche) are a tool for a purpose - standing out, giving strange women an excuse to start conversations, giving her an easy mark for testing his frame, etc. Different situations, different tools.

If you utilize pimping strategy on your wife, and it works, you've married a whore. As the ancients understood more than this one archetype for women, it's fair to assume that they were onto something.

Yeah but seems if you are doing this stuff with your wife, then not really your wife, in that your wife is something that is securely yours.

>not really your wife, in that your wife is something that is securely yours Yes, welcome to life. Can accept it and deal or not but it doesn't go away if you don't like it. Society had all kinds of costly adaptations to solve this - it wasn't for fun.

I'm not sure we disagree here. Can only observe that in my own life, has not exactly been so relevant since married but it's not like I don't try to embody the ideas from lessons learned.
