Libertarianism, like its cousin liberalism, has a nihilistic element. The fact illegals allow themselves to be maximally exploited is exactly why they should not be allowed in a nation. Totally absent in libertarians is any collective societal goal.https://twitter.com/KRS_JAC/status/1430002761647726595 …

Fetishizing maximal labor without any consideration of the societal costs is quintessentially neoliberal-libertarian.

Whose fetishizing? I’m reporting what I see daily. And all those workers on this site are legally here. They even, wait for it, pay taxes. They contribute more than a lot of natural born citizens I know.

If they are here legally, then they are not illegal immigrants, which is the topic broached by the OP. Its also very neoliberal-libertarian to scorn the “natural born citizen.” Immigrants draw need-based welfare at a considerably higher rate than NBCs.

Appreciating labor who ‘work harder for less’ is the reason why 80% of all the junk you now own is manufactured by Chinese & other foreign slave labor overseas.

IME, I know number of Blue-state D landlords who use illegal labor to avoid higher-wage experienced tradesmen. And no, quality of handy work is not better. Quite contrary. Pattern resembles Silicon Valley H1B abuse replacing Americans w cheaper imports & lower-quality output.

But if *everyone* does it then no one can compete on quality and if anyone tries, we can bring down the EEOC on him! It's a flawless plan.
