I haven’t really heard a satisfactory answer as to why Biden’s handlers decided to leave Afghanistan. Defense contractors would prefer to stay. Chaotic exit makes CIA/DoD look bad. Many regime factions can’t be too happy right now, right?

I think Biden was seriously moved by fear of losing more anti-war votes to rising populist right.

They know better than anyone that votes don't matter. The reasons have to be more sinister - tens of thousands of Afghan "refugees"? Loss of logistic capability to keep the occupation supplied? Desire to use the loss of the country to purge disloyal American soldiers?

Votes may not matter to them, when margins are small enough, but even the regime doesn’t want to make it harder for themselves. Some recognize they must feign some appeal to populism to keep facade of popular support for neoliberalism. Cf. @17cShyteposterhttps://twitter.com/17cShyteposter/status/1426849931298439170 …

The funniest part about Bidan's puppeteers passing a fake infrastructure bill while pulling out of Afghanistan (and resulting in disaster) is how clearly this is neoliberalism attempting to coopt populist sentiments and just completely fucking it all up on every front

There might be an upper limit to cheating. But hell, last time they did stop counting until enough ballots could be…found. Might be interesting if Republican governors retake the upper Midwest and PA.

When the cheating is done by the vote counters and the courts defer entirely to the counters there's no limit. You would think "produces more votes than voters (because that was needed for the result)" would be the limit but why? Who would actually intervene to stop that?

My considered take is that 2020 was won at margins in the swing states with just enough mail-in ballots procured to do the job.

I think Republicans have to congregate outside around major urban polling stations in swing states and be ready to storm the place if irregularities start occurring. If Rs are passive, Ds will steal it.
