Curtis Yarvin is not stupid - he knows that the exact men whose letters Caesar burned *murdered him* a few months later. His successor Augustus did not hesitate to proscribe his enemies and died an old Emperor. The lesson is the opposite of the one he's ostensibly teaching.pic.twitter.com/WRBY6zoSLx

The most charitable interpretation is that hes trying not to say things that will get him detained by the FBI. If he says "proscriptions work, heres my book Gray Mirror about how we should do proscriptions on the Libs" hes going to get some knocks on the door

Of course this functionally means that because he has an public identity he is basically precluded from ever saying anything of substance, thus he strings people along via grift. You still get useful insight out of the man but he cant say too much of consequence.

Most of the criticism of Yarvin’s solutions boil down to pointing out he doesn’t fedpost

The twin chains of Yarvin's bridle are that he is forced to pretend violence doesn't work and the fact that he is somehow attempting to separate himself from liberalism as an atheist materialist. These two combined are a recipe for solutions that will never work

He hasn't even said the violence doesn't work for the right. He has said that the kind of violence the left uses won't work for the right, which is very true. Those who looked at BLM riots and went ahead with the Capital riot might not be in jail if they read Moldbug.

Strong agree on this. You can't LARP being a character in Les Miserables if you're on the right and thinking that's the secret of leftist success is being fooled by a magician's trick of drawing attention away from the real cause.

What Im referencing is that he consistently says we are in an age where violence has no place whatsoever in any given political transition, which is disingenuous; eg "they'll just give up". His point about not embodying the lefts frame holds but thats not what Im talking about.
