well, policies that are focused on ‘health’ over ‘contamination’, closed borders, demand obedience to designated authorities, allow for less liberty, and are heavily favored toward preservation of existing hierarchies - wouldn’t these generally be grouped as ‘right-wing’?

if you went back in time a few years & described these policies to someone - gathering restrictions, kids masked all day, border closings, internal passports to enter certain places - would they assume this dystopia was likely put in place by a left-, or right-wing government?
