Do people understand how bad inner-city schools are? Friend taught in one. Student tried to deck him, another threw chair at him. Impossible to teach. Total chaos every day. These are more detention centers to prevent crime. Talk of ‘standards’ is whistling past the graveyard.

It's crossing a mental line but if you see it with clear eyes you realize that every step they're conditioning them to be criminals - "authority is weak" "resisting authority gets you status" - like sleep conditioning in Brave New World.
