Great thread (as always) by 17c here but I disagree with this assertion. The "problem" with evolution is that it has the ability to get trapped at local maxima - as long as a solution is good enough, it suffices. Progressivism is strengthened by evolved adaptations to it.https://twitter.com/17cShyteposter/status/1421369011841892352 …

Local school boards were an anti-progressive adaptation - now they're in the hands of progressives. Suburbs were an anti-progressive adaptation and there's section 8. Tech companies were anti-progressive adaptations to insane regulation and they're cordycepted.

All of those were organic and evolved and all failed because the only solution is to break the power of the progressive egregore - not try to fix the damage it does.

The only counter ex I can think of is that higher ed became a signal of IQ when it became too complex to legally administer IQ tests for hiring for most firms and higher ed is still here OTOH that may be intentional for indoctrination and it is being gutted by anti-testing mania

That's not a counter-example. Ban IQ testing -> use SAT range of admits from applicant's alma mater as an approximation Prog adaptation -> step up gating on ideological conformity for admissions That was a case where the "work around" directly granted money and power to progs.
